On 4th September 2023, an inter-regional workshop on technology development and applications of small modular reactor, co-hosted by IAEA and CAEA, was held in Sanya, Hainan Province. More than 200 government officials, experts and scholars from more than 50 countries attended the conference.

CNOS promoted and held bilateral talks between China Atomic Energy Agency, CNNC and relevant leaders of the Ministry of Energy of Hungary, the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation of Ghana, the State Committee on Industrial Safety of Uzbekistan, etc. By holding the above events, China and these foreign countries have deepened mutual trust and understanding, and promoted subsequent practical cooperation.

During the seminar, witnessed by Gu Jun, president of CNNC, CNOS signed the Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation on Nuclear Science and Technology with Nuclear Society of Thailand.
