On August 14th, CNNC Overseas held a seminar on nuclear power development and utilization in Changsha, attended by 29 participants from eight countries who came to China to participate in the training course on Nuclear Power Development and Utilization in Asia. Wei Fuqi, Vice President of CNNC Overseas International Investment Co., Ltd., and Chen Minfeng, General Manager of ASEAN Regional Development Headquarter attended the seminar.

During the meeting, participants from various countries presented and explained the development status and future planning of nuclear energy in their countries, and had a lively and fruitful discussion on the problems, difficulties and solutions encountered in the development and utilization of nuclear energy in emerging nuclear power countries.

The training course on Nuclear Power Development and Utilization in Asia, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, organized by Powerchina Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited, and co-organized by CNNC Overseas, was held in Changsha and other places from July 26th to August 15th. Relying on the friendly and cooperative relations with Asian countries, CNNC Overseas recommended and facilitated trainees from Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Jordan etc. to participate in the training course in China. In addition, CNNC Overseas also promoted the trainees to visit and study at Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant, Shanghai Electric and Qinshan Nuclear Power Base, which received high praise from the trainees.
